Rosemary water is a popular natural remedy to
promote hair health. Regular use of Rosemary water stimulates hair growth,
prevent dandruff, and improve overall hair and scalp health. Rosemary is
believed to improve blood circulation to the scalp, which, in turn, promotes
hair growth. Some studies suggest that rosemary oil may help prevent hair loss
by inhibiting the production of the hormone dihydro-testosterone (DHT), which is
associated with hair loss.
Rosemary is rich in antioxidants, which may help strengthen the hair and prevent damage from free radicals. The antimicrobial properties of rosemary help in preventing dandruff and maintaining a healthy scalp. The anti-inflammatory properties of Rose Mary help to soothe an irritated scalp and improve overall scalp health. Regular use of rosemary water will give a natural shine to the hair, making it look healthier.
How to make Rose Mary hair Toner
Ingredients:
Fresh or dried rosemary leaves - 2 tablespoons
Fenugreek seeds - 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves
Water - 2 cups
In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, add the rosemary leaves and fenugreek seeds to the pot. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Add curry leaves and boil for another 10 minutes. Boil it until the water reduced to half in size. Turn off the heat and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
Once the rosemary water has cooled, strain out the rosemary leaves. Pour the rosemary-infused water into a clean container or bottle. You can use a spray bottle for easy application. After shampooing your hair, you can use the rosemary water as a final hair rinse. You can either pour it over your hair or spray it on. Make sure to massage it into your scalp. Leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing it out with water. Also, you can apply this water one hour before hair wash.
You can use rosemary water as a hair toner a few times a week or as desired. It's generally safe for regular use.
